Merchants Add Assistant Coaches Ebel and Christo to Complete Partlo’s Bench Staff

Derek Partlo has finalized his coaching staff for the 2024-2025 season, adding familiar faces who bring a wealth of experience and a shared history with him.

One addition to the staff is Bill Ebel, who joins after a successful stint as Partlo’s teammate with the Woodstock Navy Vets back in 1992 and 1993. Known for his passion, determination, and fortitude, Ebel will focus on coaching the Merchants’ Forwards, aiming to bring his winning mentality to the team.

Another key hire is Tim Christo, a seasoned veteran with a robust background in both playing and coaching. Christo has previously served as Head Coach for the Merchants in the early 2000s and carries a strong reputation within the local hockey community. His extensive knowledge and leadership will be instrumental in guiding the Merchants’ Defense this season.

With these additions, Partlo has assembled a coaching staff that blends personal connections, professional experience, and a shared commitment to elevating the performance of the Merchants hockey team.
